    Noteworthy: There will be a child-friendly service at CBTL at 5pm

Church of the Nazarene

    Noteworthy: There will be carolling on Dec. 17, meet at JCON;  a Christmas Day service at JCON at 11am

St. Paul's Catholic Church Christmas Mass Schedule

    Dec. 24—5:30 PM & 12 Midnight

    Dec. 25—10:30 AM & 5:30 PM

Salvation Army

    Dec. 24th- 7pm Candlight Service

AYC Holiday Concert 

   Northern Light United Church, Saturday, Dec. 10, 7pm; a family-friend event

   Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under

   Reception and raffle drawing to follow concert

Longest Night Service

    Chapel by the Lake, Sunday Dec. 11, 6:30pm (A quiet service for those who have experienced loss, for those whom the holiday season is a difficult or lonely time, or for those who need a quiet moment to worship and reflect)

Carols at the Capitol:

     Noon, Saturday December 10. This will be an outside event, lyrics provided Contact Pamela Verebasaga at           hishelpfulhands at hotmail.com.

Faith Valley School Christmas program

    Valley Church, Sunday, 6:30pm at Valley Church

Loving Local's Toy Drive, with Love INC

    St. Paul's Catholic Church

Please consider donating new and unwrapped toys, games, stuffed animals, dolls, books, gift cards, sporting equipment, sleds, etc. for chil-dren aged infant on up to 18 years. This is our 9th year coordinating this ministry with Love, INC. for local families in need. Donations may be dropped off at either parish office. Please contact the religious education office with any questions.



To Give and To Receive

Following is information for folks who need assistance during the Christmas holiday. The deadlines to apply for ]assistance vary by agency, so please plan ahead and don't let the deadlines pass you by. To make certain everyone who needs help can receive it, applicants are asked to choose from just one of the following agencies for their Christmas meal needs.

Accepting applications for Christmas food boxes on Tuesdays from 9-11:30am and Thursdays from 4-6:30pm

How can I help? Donations of food, money, and time are needed.

The agencies on this list need the help of the community to provide Thanksgiving meals to folks in need. If you would like ot help with a donation of food, money, or volunteer time, please call a specific agency and ask them how you can best help.  For a broader list fo assistnace agencies in Juneau, check out hte website www.unitedwayseak.org or www.alaska211.org


Family Promise


With the new Family Promise of Juneau, area churches will have the opportunity to provide hospitality to families experiencing homelessness.  Guests receive three meals a day from church members and volunteers.  Family Promise case managers work with guest parents to ensure they can regain their self-sufficiency.
